In these times of pandemic in which everything has completely shifted from in-person to online, the goal of this workshop is to create a welcoming and encouraging space where we explore the musical language by experiencing its core: tension/resolution or call/response. You are about to create and communicate through music since minute one!
The aim of this workshop is to bring music back into the household as a tool of connection within the family while strengthening communication and self-expression. In my ideal world, every house will have a few musical instruments and families will make their own songs about their stories. We don’t need to be artists to obtain certain pleasure from painting, coloring a book or making music. Art is a wonderful gift we can all enjoy and channel our emotions through.
This is paramount! Bring your curiosity with you. Give yourself permission to experience and to create something new. Everyone is welcome here! Whether you are a music student or a complete newbie, a professional musician or an educator, a child or an adult; these sessions will bring you clarity and musical freedom. This is about having fun and making music since minute one without talking about theory but feeling it and playing with it instead. Assignments will include tasks such as making your own musical instruments in your kitchen or out in the park. Imagination levels will rise. You are also invited to share what you’re learning with others around you to practice, so don’t hesitate to bring your relatives, roommates or pets to the class with you!
